Curated by the Annenberg Institute at Brown University, EdInstruments collections bring together high-quality measurement tools—questionnaires, assessments, and observation protocols—organized by key topics in education. Each collection is designed to help researchers, school and district leaders, and practitioners find instruments they can trust and use confidently.

The new “Self-Directed Learning” EdInstruments collection includes nearly two dozen questionnaires, scales, inventories, and other tools used by Postsecondary Teaching with Technology Collaborative researchers throughout five years of study.

It also includes detailed guidance for using the tools and understanding the self-directed learning field.
